I'm very new to the sugar bowl as in I have yet to dive in. Let me fill in the background a bit.
I have completed my first year at an academically rigorous liberal arts college in the southeastern United States. I have always been a dreamer, and though I don't know exactly what I want out of life (who does at twenty, really?) I do have goals. And plans. And a Wikipedian knowledge of Tudor England. That has to count for something, right? My career goals have an artistic bent, meaning that it's not something you can go to school for and get a piece of paper that lands you a job. Which I'm totally cool with. I believe in staying true to my passions and know I'm talented and driven enough to transform that passion into something both emotionally fulfilling and fiscally viable. In the meantime, I have to get through school (I view college as an experience and not necessarily a means to an end) and that's already becoming a problem. I've never been enamored with money, I am exploring the sugar world only as a possible avenue to becoming a fully finically independent, self sufficient person (as counter-intutive as that may sound). Also, money aside, it sounds like a fascinating way to accumulate life experiences a normal college sophomore wouldn't dream of acquiring. And I have always been anything but normal ^_~
I've been reading up on sugar stuff and lurking on a few blogs for quite a while (I'll start commenting now, promise). I'm planning on waiting a few months to officially make my sugar debut, so any thoughts or advice to assist my preparation would be most appreciated and welcomed. Let's get things started, shall we?
